The feel-good homecoming for Saskatchewan Roughriders punter Jon Ryan will continue next week, as the 37 year-old is set to receive an honorary degree from the University of Regina on June 5.

The Regina native signed with his hometown team earlier this month, following 12 seasons south of the border in the National Football League.

Ryan’s degree will be awarded for his charitable efforts in the community through the Gear Up with Jon Ryan Foundation.
