NOVEMBER 5th HOME GAME RESCHEDULED TO NOVEMBER 13th at 3:00 p.m.
Dear Rider Nation,
As we gear up to host Winnipeg in this weekend’s Labour Day Classic, our Edmonton rivals are gearing up for the first time since a COVID-19 outbreak hit their locker room. It was a difficult time for that organization, and we were asked if we would be willing to lend a hand to the Elks, Argos and league as a whole, by swapping the dates of our home and home series with the Elks this November. This will allow the Elks and Argos to reschedule the game that had to be postponed.
We are helping these teams with the knowledge that if we were ever in a regrettable situation of our own, they would step up and help us too. We hope you understand the value of being a good league partner.
So, this means that instead of playing the Edmonton Elks at home on Friday November 5th, we will play them IN Edmonton that night. Our home game against the Elks will move to Saturday November 13th at 3 p.m.
As part of the negotiation to reschedule the game, we were happy to be able to secure a time in the afternoon when the sun is still out, and the fall air is a bit warmer. In addition, we know that an earlier time is a perk for our little Rider fans, who don’t have to stay up quite so late to see their favourite team. We were also sure to check in with our best football minds, and they don’t mind it either!
Another fun coincidence in moving to this day is that now our annual 13th Man Appreciation game is taking place on the *13th* of November. We can’t wait to celebrate YOU on November 13th.
Most importantly, this change requires no action on your part as your seats will automatically be moved to the new date and time. You will see the change reflected in Account Manager in the coming days.
