Dalton Clarke has returned to the Roughriders for a second season in 2025 after initially joining the Roughriders in 2024 as a Seasonal Athletic Therapist.

Born and raised in Halifax, he studied Engineering at Carleton University in Ottawa from 2016 to 2018 before injuring an ankle while competing in varsity track and field. A subsequent appointment with an Athletic Therapist ignited his love for the profession.

He transferred to Dalhousie University in Halifax and earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. While at Dalhousie, he interned with the Saint Mary’s Huskies football team and developed an interest in the sport.

In 2023, he received a Post-Bachelor’s Certificate in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal University in Calgary. While at Mount Royal, he worked with the school’s volleyball and men’s hockey teams.

Clarke is a recipient of the Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association’s Student Leadership Award.

In 2023, Clarke interned at the Edmonton Elks’ training camp. He also spent the last half of the season working with the Calgary Stampeders.

He received Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association certification in December of 2023.
