2026: Signed by Roughriders, March 31 … two defensive tackles (one for a loss) in pre-season opener, May 18 at Calgary … two special teams tackles, July 12 vs. Hamilton … two special teams tackles, Aug. 23 at B.C.

2025: Signed with the NFL’s Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2025; attended training camp with the team.

COLLEGE: Gbenda spent six seasons (2019-24) with the Texas Longhorns, registering 166 total tackles (including 10 1/2 for a loss), 3 1/2 sacks, two interceptions, four pass deflections and a forced fumble in 62 games. As a senior in 2024, he had 61 total tackles (five for a loss), one sack, one interception, one pass deflection and a forced fumble in 16 games. In a Week 5 game against Mississippi State in 2024, Gbenda registered a team-high eight tackles andadded a sack in a 35-13 Longhorns win. He earned the Longhorns’ lone interception in the 2025 Cotton Bowl against Ohio State.

FAST FACT: Gbenda is the 31st University of Texas Longhorns alumnus to sign with the Roughriders. The first was offensive lineman Phil Branch (April 20, 1956), who played in 13 regular-season games with the 1956 Roughriders.
