2025: Evans was selected by Winnipeg in the second round of the CFL’s Global Draft. He played in both of the Bombers’ pre-season games (both against Saskatchewan), punting six times for an average of 45.3 yards (with a long punt of 56). He signed with Saskatchewan on June 3, two days after bein greleased by the Bombers.

COLLEGE: Evans played four collegiate seasons at Indiana, suiting up for 49 games as Hoosier. He punted 237 times for 10,351 yards and a 43.7-yard average. Evans hit 75 career punts inside the 20-yard line, booted 69 punts 50 yards or more and hit a career-long 70-yarder in 2023. In 2024, he played in 13 games and finished with a 42.4-yard average on 36 punts and placed 11 inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. He was also the Hoosiers’ holder on placekicks.

FAST FACT: Evans is the third player from New Zealand in Riders history, following defensive lineman Luc Mullinder (2004-11) and offensive lineman Johan Asiata (2012). Mullinder and Evans were both born in Auckland. Asiata is from Christchurch.
