2024: Lokombo had three pass knockdowns versus Hamilton on June 23 … first CFL sack, Aug. 8 at Ottawa … forced fumble, Oct. 12 vs. B.C. … started one regular-season game at field cornerback and the next 17 at safety … interception (first as a CFLer) in West Semi-Final, Nov. 2 vs B.C.
2023: Lokombo registered five defensive tackles and four special teams tackles in nine games.
PRO: Lokombo was selected second overall in the 2021 CFL Draft, but missed the entire season that followed due to an Achilles tendon injury. He made his CFL debut in 2022 and played in 12 games, recording 13 defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, one forced fumble and one pass knockdown.
COLLEGE: Lokombo was drafted after a sensational 2019 season at the University of Saskatchewan. He won the Presidents’ Trophy as U Sports’ Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2019 after registering 39 defensive tackles (six for a loss), three sacks, five interceptions (two of which he returned for a touchdown), four pass breakups and one forced fumble. Also in 2019, he was named Canada West’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player, a Canada West All-Star and a U Sports First-Team All-Canadian. In 30 career games with the U of S Huskies, he produced 115 defensive tackles (six for a loss), 10 interceptions, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. In 2017, Lokombo was named the Huskies’ top rookie and also helped the team win the Hardy Cup for the first time in 10 years.
FAST FACT: Lokombo is the younger brother of former B.C. Lions linebacker Bo Lokombo.
