As a first-year member of the Ottawa REDBLACKS in 2016, he was named an East Division All-Star. He followed up with 30 TD passes in 2017. With Ottawa in the 2018 East final against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Harris set CFL single-game playoff records for touchdown passes (six) and completion percentage (90.6, courtesy of a 29-for-32 performance). He then started for Ottawa in the 2018 Grey Cup Game against Calgary. Harris was with the Edmonton Elks for the entire 2019 season and most of 2021 before being traded to the Montreal Alouettes on Oct. 17, 2021. In 2022, he threw 20 TD passes in his first full season with Montreal. A Grey Cup champion with Toronto (2012) and Ottawa (2016), Harris signed with Saskatchewan as a free agent on Feb. 14, 2023.

His 100 TD passes are second All-Time in the PSAC, which he leads in career completions (966).
