Saskatchewan Roughriders General Manager and Vice-President of Football Operations Jeremy O’Day was born on Aug. 31, 1974 — 52 years ago today.

O’Day, who grew up in Lockport N.Y., played for the Roughriders from 1999 to 2010.

A six-time West Division All-Star, he was the centre on the CFL’s dream team in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009. In 2007, he helped Saskatchewan win the third Grey Cup in franchise history.

After retiring as a player, O’Day transitioned into football operations. He was the team’s Assistant General Manager when it won a home-field Grey Cup Game in 2013.

O’Day assumed his current role on Jan. 18, 2019 and, in 2025, became the fifth Cup-winning GM in franchise history.
