Day 1 at ATC Camp
After a long twenty-hour bus drive from Regina, Saskatchewan, the 620 CKRM Rider Cheer Team arrives at ATC Cheer Camp at Miracle’s Ranch in Port Orchard, Washington. It’s day one and the team is all ready learning new skills to showcase at the next game. From sideline cheers to exciting transitions to double front tuck basket tosses. After checking in, showering and registration the team met their instructions for the weekend. The energetic ATC Staff showed off their skills with an advanced routine filled with stunting, dancing and cheering. The team did a review of basic safety techniques in order to prepare them for the weekend. They went on and learn the “Camp Cheer” and broke into groups and worked one on one with their personal instructors. Eli is from Washington and currently cheers for Alabama State University and Haven who is from Tennessee and currently coaches at University of Memphis.
After a homemade meal including flank steak and blueberry peach cobbler the cheer team had few minutes of down time before working with their personal instructors.
The team is having a blast stunting lakeside and is looking forward to day two tomorrow! Stay tuned cheer fans!
