The Roughriders finished the 2013 regular season ranked #1 in CFL home attendance for the first time in team history. The Riders also held the #1 spot in away game attendance and played in each of the top 13 attended CFL games this season. The Riders ranked #1 in average TV viewership on TSN and played in each of the top four most watched CFL game broadcasts during the regular season.
Roughrider President and CEO Jim Hopson commented that “as a community owned team, we exist because of, and for our fans, both within and beyond our province. We want to thank all of Rider Nation. The support we have received this year for both home and away games has given us a competitive edge on the field and has also translated into business success off the field.”
The Saskatchewan fan base is known for their national support and commitment to the Riders. Head Coach Corey Chamblin commented “It’s a privilege to coach in an environment like this, the support Rider Nation delivers is a huge motivator for both our players and coaching staff.”
