The Saskatchewan Roughriders and Cameco will be taking the Grey Cup on a unique journey through northern Saskatchewan – touching down in five communities in a 36-hour span.
The tour starts February 24 with stops in Cumberland House and La Ronge before moving through Stony Rapids, Pinehouse and Buffalo Narrows the following day.
Brendon LaBatte and Neal Hughes will join the tour, which will cover more than 2,000 kilometres.
Saskatchewan Roughriders President and CEO, Jim Hopson, “To team up with a great partner in Cameco and bring the Grey Cup to our faithful fans in northern Saskatchewan is a rare and fantastic opportunity. This will be a memorable trip that the residents of these five communities and the Football Club will never forget. “Cameco is thrilled to partner with the Saskatchewan Roughriders to bring the Grey Cup to our backyard. We have operations in northern Saskatchewan and employ more than 700 residents of Saskatchewan’s north. We are looking forward to the excitement this tour will generate,” said Tim Gitzel, Cameco’s president and CEO.

Noon-3:30 p.m. – Cumberland House, Charlebois Community School
6-9 p.m. – La Ronge, community gathering at Pre-Cam Community School
February 25
9-11 a.m. – Stony Rapids, Stony Rapids Community School
12:30-2:30 p.m. – Pinehouse, Minahik Waskahigan School
3-5:15 p.m. – Buffalo Narrows, Twin Lakes Community School
