THE LOWDOWN: The Roughriders and Bombers complete their three-game season series with the traditional rematch the week after the Labour Day Classic. The teams split the first two games, with Winnipeg winning 43-40 in double overtime at Mosaic Stadium on July 1 and Saskatchewan prevailing 38-24 at home in Sunday’s Labour Day Classic … The Classic rematch in Winnipeg is always a spirited affair. The Bombers have won the past two such meetings and three of the past four, but each team has been victorious in five of the previous 10 … The Roughriders have won three straight games to get over the .500 mark for the first time since the 2014 season. The Bombers had their five-game winning streak snapped in the LDC … Saskatchewan is 1-3-0 on the road this season, while Winnipeg is 3-1-0 at home.
THE RIDERS’ ROSTER: Quarterback Kevin Glenn is to make the 201st start of his 17-year CFL career Saturday. Glenn goes into the game with a 99-100-1 career record, so a victory will make him the ninth quarterback in CFL history to reach 100 wins. He’s currently tied with Tom Clements for ninth on the CFL’s all-time wins list … This will be Glenn’s sixth start in the rematch, but his first in Green and White. He went 3-2-0 in the game while with the Bombers … Marquise Williams is on the 46-man roster, joining Glenn, Brandon Bridge and Vernon Adams Jr. to give Saskatchewan four quarterbacks … For the first time this season, the Roughriders will have a new starting tailback. Cameron Marshall suffered a knee injury during the Labour Day Classic and has been put on the six-game injured list. That means Kienan LaFrance — a product of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba Bisons — will get his first start of the season Saturday … The receiving corps also features a new starter. Caleb Holley replaces Nic Demski, who has been put on the six-game injured list after suffering an ankle injury during Sunday’s game. Holley joins fellow internationals Duron Carter, Bakari Grant and Naaman Roosevelt and Canadian Rob Bagg in the starting five. Holley has been one of Saskatchewan’s two scratches for the past three games … Tackle Bruce Campbell and centre Brendon LaBatte suffered injuries during the Labour Day Classic, but both finished the game. They’re OK for the rematch and will join tackle Thaddeus Coleman and guards Derek Dennis and Peter Dyakowski in the starting unit. Dariusz Bladek will be the sixth O-lineman and defensive tackle Eddie Steele will be the emergency backup … The Roughriders’ defensive line sees a change from the LDC, with Nick James going on the six-game injured list and Royce LaFrance coming off the practice roster … The rest of the D-line rotation comprises Steele, Tobi Antigha, Makana Henry, Willie Jefferson, A.C. Leonard and Ese Mrabure … Erick Dargan, Sam Eguavoen and Henoc Muamba continue to man the starting linebacking spots … The secondary of Crezdon Butler, Mike Edem, Ed Gainey, Jovon Johnson and Kacy Rodgers II is together for the fourth straight game … The specialists — punter Josh Bartel, kicker Tyler Crapigna and long-snapper Jorgen Hus — continue in their same roles … Linebackers Alexandre Gagne and Will Ratelle have been added to the roster. Defensive lineman Antonio Longino has been moved to the practice roster.
